My work is authentic, I want to capture your day as it happens naturally, without interruption or direction. I'd describe my approach as 80% documentary and 20% portraiture. I want to observe rather than orchestrate. Portraits form a small part of your day but these are kept fluid and natural rather than heavily directed. I want you to remember your day spending time with your friends and family rather than time spent with me.

Absolutely! I actually encourage couples to meet me before hand. You will spend a lot of time with your photographer and work closely with them so it’s important you actually click with them.
You can come to my studio anytime, meet me, chat about your wedding and view sample wedding albums. -
Many couples find me through social media or features in wedding publications, so sharing work is an important part of how I operate but your privacy always comes first. If you'd prefer your photographs to remain private, I'll respect that completely. I may ask permission to use detail or venue shots that don't feature you directly. For any submission to a wedding publication or social media, I'd always contact you for approval before anything is shared.

After the wedding you will receive the online gallery of professionally edited images about 4 to 6 weeks after the wedding. But you will receive about 20 ‘sneak peek’ images while you wait, these will be delivered within 48 hours of the wedding.

Every wedding booked with me will receive a free complimentary engagement shoot. This is a take it or leave it offer, it’s not for everyone but it is a great way of getting to know me and how I work. Couples who do this shoot tend to feel more comfortable having their photograph taken on the day.
Sometimes, when required I will offer a free post wedding shoot. This is only if the weather is so bad and it hampers our couple shots on the day. In over 23 years I have only done this 3 times. It gives you peace of mind that if things don’t go to plan and Mother Nature mucks things up, you can still get the images you dream of. -
I have 3 wedding packages, which are the most popular packages ranging in price from £1,700 to £3,000. If none of these fit in with your day or budget, I can tailor make a package to suit your needs as every wedding is different.

Smaller weddings and elopements are normally charged at £250 per hour which includes the edited digital images taken on the day. -
Once we have established I am free to photograph your wedding day, a £450 deposit is required to secure your date in my diary.

Yes, absolutely. I have travelled as far afield as East Kilbride, Aberdeen, Skye and the Orkney Islands so nowhere is off limits. Travel expenses will apply outwith my local area of Caithness but a price would be agreed on at the time of the booking.
ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
If you have booked your wedding with me, you have a free complimentary engagement session. Just get in touch and we can take it from there. Pick somewhere special to you within Caithness and we will meet up and capture you before the big day. These sessions will make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and you will get to know how I operate and it’s a great way of documenting you both before your Mr & Mrs!
You don’t have to book me for your wedding to book an engagement session, all couples are welcome. Below are the details for booking a session.
The session is £250 for a one hour session at the location of your choice within Caithness. Outwith this area, travel expenses will apply. You will receive an online gallery where you can view & download your edited images. You will receive 50 images to download.
